It has been a while...no excuses or epic explanations; just life and all of the beauty and challenge it has presented along the way. I truly hope that life is good for you and that as we settle into the Fall months, you are recovering from the busyness of summer and restoring your reserves before...well...before the holidays and all those wintery things are upon us.
With Fall, comes the invitation to come home. Not just home from the cabin or travel or camp, but literally home-to your physical body. Home into the present moment; you know...the place where your feet are...
Imagine relaxing in that comfy chair in the photo above, soaking up the sunlight. Draw in a few deep breaths and exhale slowly. Repeat. Notice your muscles begin to soften and relax. Assuming you don't fall asleep (ok, that might just be me), ask yourself how you are doing; physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Are you feeling centered, or scattered? Fatigued or rested? Is there something you can let fall away-like the trees shedding their leaves? What roots would you like to nurture in the upcoming months? Any roots that you are ready to pull? Pay attention to the feedback you get from your mind, body, and spirit. It takes only minutes to connect with your true self and the information you receive is vital for your well-being. Typically, what we need most is to make small adjustments in our daily habits and routines-simple changes that deliver noticeable results. Often, we overlook or miss the cues our bodies send out, because we are too busy or distracted; that's why we need to come home...to the place where our feet are.
Maybe, you need more sleep, sunlight, movement, socializing, quiet time, reading, or water. Perhaps, you need less of those things. You know your system's needs better than anyone else, so I encourage you to check in regularly. Daily would be fantastic. Once you get used to doing these check-ins, and experience the benefits, you may notice that it feels good to come home; you might even look forward to it.
The power any of us ever have exists in the present moment. Like it or not, we can't change the past or control the future. When we are fully present (at home) and experience alignment, life feels easier, and we enjoy a greater sense of well-being and joy. Can we agree that this would be a fantastic way to close out 2024, and a great way to begin 2025?
Blessings and Peace,
Anne
